The opening
Mystic Elixir is built as a veil. Pink pepper and a lychee-dew facet sparkle for ten minutes, then almond blossom turns the opening soft rather than fruity.
Rose here is fabric, not a florist’s bunch — sheer, slightly sweet, held by orchid and peony so it never turns jammy or old-fashioned. People describe it as ‘clean skin after a bath’ more than ‘rose perfume’.
